We’re proud to announce that BEACON—designed by Lee Broom—is being brought to life with production and support by BROKIS and Materials Assemble, made possible with the support of the Southbank Centre.

BEACON will be presented at the London Design Festival, a citywide celebration of design taking place 13–21 September 2025. The light object comprises 292 segments of BROKISGLASS, a material produced by recycling glass shards.

Follow the journey with us—from the first sketches and the skill of master glassmakers, to the development of special technology, and finally to the moment the installation lights up on London’s South Bank. Discover the story of BEACON step by step.
